Start behind the player
For a forehand or backhand, place the phone behind the player so the camera looks in the same direction as the shot. This angle keeps the player, racket path, contact area, and finish in view. A phone resting securely on the fence is enough.
Keep the camera far enough away to include the player from the feet through the racket at the end of the swing. Check the frame before recording. If the racket leaves the image, move the phone back instead of zooming in.
Record a few complete repetitions
A short clip with several clear repetitions is more useful than a long clip with waiting time, cuts, or partial swings. Leave the camera still and let each repetition finish before starting the next one.
Make the question specific
If you want coaching feedback, say which stroke you are showing and what you want to understand. A focused question gives the review a clear job. Cole can look for patterns such as unit turn, racket preparation, racket drop, contact, follow-through, and lag when those parts are visible.
No camera angle shows everything. If a part of the swing is blocked or too small to judge, a careful coach should say so instead of guessing.
